So, I'm trying to decide if these posts are aptly named. I mean, the things I find at Sanford & Kidd aren't exactly trash. Some things, maybe, but for the most part they're just things that don't have a home anymore. Does that make them trash? You decide.
One of my recent finds was a pine and stainless steel island with 3 stools. It cleaned up great and fits in perfectly in our loft. It even has a spot on the side for knives.
I also found a wooden clock for a dollar. It's in my office now. All it needed was a battery.
We have a garden group here in the mill. Some people have raised boxes and grow veggies, herbs and flowers. I saw this binder with a giant stack of cellophane wrapped packages of inserts all related to growing flowers. You know the kind, they send you a sample pack and them lure in to buy more packages, month after month after month. Well, someone sure ordered a lot of these things. I got the binder and probably 500+ cards for... you guessed it, a dollar. I still haven't decided what to do with it. Do I give it to the garden group? Do I keep it for myself? Oh, the decisions.
I didn't get a picture but I also found a Bissell vacuum, the little bag-less ones perfect for hardwood floors for a dollar. I gave it to a friend. I'm so generous. :) I paid $30 for the one I use. Sheesh!
I LOVE the island! What a find!
